Just Enough Information

ABOUT MY SWEETHEART
*What's your husband's name: Richard Ray Rose
*How long have you been married? 18 months and 8 days
*How long did you date? we got married 11 months to the day Richard first kissed me (which was prior to our first date
*How old is he? 24 years (He's an OLD 24 years).
*Who eats more sweets? Richard likes to maintain that he has an immunity to sweets, but he likes them just as much as I do. I eat more because, lets face it, I'm a woman and thats my nature.
*Who said "I love you" first? Richard, on the second day of my return from England. It was just outside of Su Casa in SLC.
*Who is taller? Richard by about 5 inches (one of my favorite things about him)
*Who can sing best? I think I do because I get a lot of practice in the shower. Richard has caught me on tape surreptitiously a few times.
*Who is smarter? I would say Richard. He has an infinite thirst for knowledge, especially in the areas of business. He used to complain to his mom that he wasn't being challenged in school....as a second grader!
*Who does the laundry? I do, but that is mainly because I have fewer articles of undergarments.
*Who pays the bills? I make the money and my hubby pays the bills (for now). I have a vague idea at any time what is going on with our accounts, but Richard keeps me updated.
*Who sleeps on the right side? looking at the bed, I sleep on the right! And that NEVER changes
*Who mows the lawn? We don't own lawn, but if we did, I think that would be Richard's official duty.
*Who cooks dinner? We take turns equally, because we both LOVE food and cooking. Richard is the better cook!
*Who drives? We share driving pretty equally! Whoevers car it is, drives!
*Who is the first to admit they're wrong? I would say that would be me. I am wrong more often.
*Who kissed who first? Richard TOOK it from me. It was a stolen kiss, the night before our first date!
*Who asked who out first? After kissing me, Richard was pretty persuasive in getting me to go out with him the next day!
Who wears the pants? We both do, but my pants are green and the issue of Utah County Sheriffs Office

New Years Teaser

Richard and I and the Gunnells had the unique opportunity last night to figure out just what happens after "Happily Ever After" when we went to go see "Into the Woods." It made it more personal that Christy had portrayed the main female lead in high school and gave us tasters of her solo performances throughout the evening. The real question on the way home was what to do for New Years. The answer is almost too good to share, and I may be killed for revealing even this much. No, we will not be joining the youth at the conference center for their Youthful New Years eve bash featuring Vocal Point. Yes, we will have competitions, debates, olympics, a progressive dinner, and the top 20 countdown. The theme for this years New Years is "Its not too late for 2008" and yes.....there WILL be a balloon drop!

The Contender

This weekend Richard and I are trying our hand at parenthood. My sister Carly is celebrating her anniversary with her husband and I get to take care of their little hellion for 24 hours. In one corner we have Apollo Higley, weighing in at 22 lbs and somewhere between two and three feet tall. And in the other corner we have Rachael Rose weighing in at 155 lbs and five feet 11 inches tall. Who will come out on top? ITs anybody's guess. Apparently, Apollo is an expert in weapons warfare and is trained in the art of distraction. In addition, I have heard that he plants some pretty big bombs.

do not try this at home

What you are looking at is a good intention disguised as peanut butter goo. When I was a missionary in Michigan, we would sometimes go to an Amish community and they had really good dessert peanut butter. I THOUGHT that the only ingredients were marshmallow cream and peanut butter. I combined all natural peanut butter with Jet Puff marshmallow cream (the left overs of my Halloween makeup). The result....the whole thing just froze up and became funky. Then I thought I would add some canola oil to lube it up more. That also did not work. I then tried to get Richard to eat it to validate my creation. Apparently, Richard is not THAT adventurous!

We hired our friend Alli Miles to take some photos of us (one of us can't get enough time in front of the camera, I'll let you guess who it is). She did a great job. Check out more of her work on her photo blog.
