Celebrating the 10th anniversary of Junior Prom. In our limo ride to the restaurant Rachael remarked to no one in particular "well, at least we won't have to worry about anyone losing their virginity tonight!"
Our friend Lydia Fisher had a brilliant idea a couple of weeks ago: to relive Junior Prom from the year 1999 (her first official date with her now husband Nate Fisher). She thought she would turn it into a full fledged affair and ask him out in a creative way (toilet paper), get a group together, go to a fancy dinner and have pictures taken. Apparently, Nate does not dance. The cool thing for me is that having come from the same home town and high school as Nate and Lydia, I was actually at the original Dixie High School Junior Prom 1999 (I did NOT marry the guy I went to that dance with). Richard and I chose to exhibit the classic dance pose.

This is just the girls: Lydia Fisher, Rachael Rose, Natasha Simonsen, and Christy Gunnell

A nice group photo with the girls swooning over our husbands. I never thought I would be the pregnant girl at the prom, but here I am-- almost 5 months pregnant. The scandal!!

And you thought all mid twenty somethings were serious--- OBVIOUSLY NOT. By the way, if Richard were in a band, it would be called "Zesty Cleaver and the Iron Chefs"

IT'S A GIRL!!!!!!!

We had the Ultrasound on Thursday, and it is a healthy, strong, little girl!!!!!!!!!
It was so amazing to watch the ultrasound. She was moving around a lot! I was surprised at the level of detail some of the shots were able to produce. I feel like I met my daughter for the first time that day. It was one of the best days of my life. I felt more intense joy than I have ever felt. I am so excited to be a father!

Here she is:

In the video you can see her opening and closing her mouth like she is talking. We can only assume she has already learned to speak. We will ask her what she was saying when she is born.
