Richard and I are now moved down to St. George temporarily. We decided it was the best interim place for us to be until Richard starts his job in Seattle in October. Of course, moving to St. George in August is like jumping from the frying pan into the fire.
It was emotional to leave Provo. I have met and made friends with the greatest people-- people who have changed my life and Richard's life forever. Friends that make me want to cry when I think of the goodness of God in blessing me to know them. Friends who will let me visit them when they are rich and famous all over the world. IN fact, I will probably have to have top secret security clearance to talk to some of them someday....because they are THAT awesome and will someday rule the world.
Richard had lived in our apartment for three years. In that apartment he adjusted to returning from a mission. In that apartment we started our courtship. In that apartment he dealt with losing a dear friend of his. In that apartment we started our married life out together. In that apartment we cooked amazing food together (at least I have learned not to toss spaghetti on the wall to check to see if it is done-- cause that stays forever and becomes a part of the wall....ask my sister Katie), and in that apartment we first brought our daughter home from the hospital.
Anna survived the four hour drive down to St. George and slept the whole time. Of course, her diaper was practically glued to her little bottom by the time we arrived, but we were thankful nonetheless!
Being a mom:
I leak.
I still wear padded bras but the padding serves a different purpose.
I worry about everything, and I check for breathing often.
Reasoning with newborns does not work....food, new diapers, and patience does!
Anna looks cute all the time, no matter what she is doing, which means that he life is being constantly documented by Richard and our camera.
I can live on a lot less sleep than I thought.
It hurts to love something this much. It was much simpler without Anna-- a lot less complicated.
I get excited about diaper changing time. I congratulate Anna every time!
I now have time to work on my hobbies (what were they again....)
I am SO happy.
More pictures of Anna next Post. I promise to sometimes post about things non-Anna related.

I can't wait to meet her. Laura Pettit (I think) told me about a possible get-together before you move to the Northwest. I want in! You have been such a dear friend and I am so sad I didn't get to see Anna before you moved. If we make it to St. George before you leave, we will definitely look you up.
