Californianna

Anna went to the beach for the first time a couple of weeks ago when we visited my brother Joe and his family in San Diego. Thus far, Anna has been to Colorado, Arizona, Utah, and Nevada. By the time we make our final move to Seattle this weekend, she will have added Idaho, Oregon, and WAshington to her list of states visited. IT has been hard to live a nomad life for us. AS RIchard pointed out, the closest thing Anna has had to a home has been her carseat! Luckily, we have great friends and family who have extended their generosity and hospitality to us.

I wish I could say that Anna actually saw the ocean while we were there, but in typical Anna fashion, she slept through the whole experience.

Richard forgot his sunglasses, so luckily, Keano Reeves left his Matrix glasses lying around for him to use (or was it Will Smith's glasses from "Men in Black")
Anna loved the humidity and lower altitude. She slept incredibly and behaved so well. She was as peaceful as I have ever seen her. Governor Swarzenegger could probably use her as advertisement for his whole "move to California" campaign.

This is our brilliant niece Natasha. Her dad is a pathologist. Richard teased her saying, "Pathologists...that kind of sounds like a dinosaur." She rolled her eyes at him and loving corrected him by reminding him that "that's a paleontologist!!" (duh Uncle Richard). She's four!
This is our other niece Sophia. She is literally cupid incarnate. She has the chunky legs and cherubic face. All she needs are wings and a bow and arrow. She is probably looking at some star crossed lovers now, considering how she can get them together.
Anna's latest stats put her in the 80th percentile for height and head size, but the 20th percentile for weight. Long and skinny. Don't look at me...she eats ALL the time.

Well, in two days we will be in WAshington, home of Peal Jam, Nirvana, and Starbucks. Look for many blog posts involving food in the future!
