Eye of the Tiger

This morning I went on my usual 3 mile walk. I took Richard's Ipod with me, which means that instead of slow chick music and love songs (the normal music fare I listen to), I had lots of 70's stuff, music from CCR, Journey, Styx, and the Eagles.

I played the song "Eye of the Tiger" three times. As I listened to it, I tried to walk as threateningly, and menacingly as I could-- like I was a force to be reckoned with. I lypsinched along with the lyrics and shadowboxed the whole time. Man, I felt powerful. I wanted to run so badly. I don't know how I looked to all the people on their way to work this morning who passed me in their cars. Here are some of the lyrics:

"Rising up, back on my feet...
took my time, took my chances...
something something something
just a man (or woman) and his will to survive...
ITS THE EYE OF THE TIGER, ITS THE THRILL OF THE FIGHT
RISING UP TO THE CHALLENGE OF OUR RIVALS.
something something something..."

Its been 5 weeks since I have had Anna...one week left to go before I can officially start exercising. I can't wait! I have been so jealous of my friends who have been able to train for triathlons and marathons over the past year. Now, its my turn again.

See you on the streets soon!

You have to wait 6 weeks!!! That's crazy. I've never heard that before.

I really admire you for being so eager to get back out there, rather than staying cooped up in the house all day. You guys are such a cute little family-- I love the hiking pics.
